I don’t know about you, but I never seem to be able to find very cute Valentine’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day crafts, and this turned out adorable. I was thrilled!
To make it I just painted the edges of the blocks black, then I cut scrapbook paper to fit each block and modpodged it on. Then I applied the vinyl letters and sanded the edges of the blocks.
Just so you can see how big this craft is, I took a picture of it with my tape measure taped to the shelf. It is just under 20″ long and sits about 8″ tall.
The St. Patty’s day side is arranged a little bit differently, it is about 18″ wide and about 10″ tall.

Heart Plaque
This next project evolved quite a bit while I was making it…and I absolutely love how it turned out.
I love the simplicity of it and yet it still makes a cute impact on the shelf.

This is a close up of the heart.
I love the simple shape of this heart.
I finished mine off with a little ribbon tied around it before I glued it on to my board.

Reversible Love / Home blocks
with Heart cutout
These blocks are reversible once again! One side says “love” and the reverse side says “home”. This way one of the crafts for this month can be left up year round!
I love the font for the word “love”. It is just a simple cursive font, but still nice and bold so it is easily readable. These blocks come with another cute little heart cutout too.

Reversible Subway Art
{Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day}
These can just be added to your other collection of subway art from last year.
They turn out so fun and look really neat when finished.
The only thing that I would do different next time is paint the word “chocolates” brown. I wanted to do this originally but I didn’t have the right color of brown to use, and I had already gone to the store to buy green paint for the St. Patty’s day side…so I wasn’t in the mood to go back.
I really like how the St. Patrick’s Day side turned out. I just used all sorts of different greens to make this one and I love the finished result.
